Is Grand Falls of Kutus a hidden Gem? Let’s find out.
I have been living in Kirinyaga County for almost a year and I never knew if such falls existed until recently. A friend of mine visited me on the First and wanted to explore Kerugoya since he loves nature. For starters, I did not know any natural place for site seeing except the hotels around. Long story short, we resulted in goggling for a place.
Guess that right!!! We found a place the Twin Falls of Kerugoya. Which we ended up lost. Never trust Google Maps again in the rural areas this is my second time Google Maps lost me. The good thing is the villages has decent people and we ended up in Kutus’ Grand Falls.
Grand Falls of Kutus is a breathe taking place surrounded by a beautiful garden properly manicured.
It is filled with white gates and green grass and a selection of flowers. The landscape makes it hard to avoid a good photo. The place is mostly used for wedding photo session, graduation shoots or birthday shoots. It also serves a spot for weddings, picnics, parties and retreats.
What you need to know
· They do not allow food from outside they have a cafeteria where you can purchase snacks. A plate of fries and ¼ chicken goes for 350 Ksh and a plate of fries is 100 ksh.
· To get there once you arrive at Kutus Town take a boda to Grand Falls of Kutus. The ride might cost you 50-100 ksh.
· Entrance fee is 100 for adults and 50 for kids.
